Your local gas supplier
Supagas began in 1968 under the name of Australian Forklifts in the southeast suburb of Moorabbin and serving Melbourne. In 1985, the Supagas name was formed from its original name of Australian Forklifts under Supagas Holdings Pty Ltd.
Due to customers wanting a wider range of products, the decision was made to build an industrial gas plant in Dandenong. Helium and CO2 filling facilities were added along with cylinder testing and a refurbishment plant to cater for all types of vessels and cylinders. The business continued to expand across Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Northern Territory.
In 1997, Supagas NSW and Supagas QLD trading under Renegade Gas Pty Ltd was established as a separate entity, initially selling and refilling forklift gas from its original site in Wetherill Park. After significant growth across all gases and across all of NSW and QLD Supagas (Renegade) had branches in most parts of NSW, ACT and QLD.
Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corporation (TNSC), the 4th largest gas supplier in the world acquired Renegade Gas Pty Ltd and Supagas Holdings Pty Ltd. This acquisition has now made Supagas an integrated national company servicing all of Australia.
In 2020, Taiyo Nippon Sanso transitioned to a holding company structure and changed its trading name to Nippon Sanso Holdings Corporation.
